This year Father Fergus failed to find a young male Homo sapiens sapiens' arm to twist diplomatically and spiritually, so I have to do the solo of Once in royal David's city (again).
Personally I think this silly tradition should continue so that every year a boy will endure a traumatic experience for his character building' sake. And as an old female I should be left alone minding my own business (from this year serving at the altar staggering and making one error or another during the service inadvertently).
However, the regularly attending Sunday School kids tend to visit their grandparents far away during Christmas holidays so what can you do when Church of England expects every person to do his or her duty....

Simba
Simba, my former nextdoor neighbour who used to visit our garden almost every day until December 2007 猫婆の元隣猫シンバ君です。白地に黒縞模様がファジーにぼやけている、さすらい野良猫ウメにゃんと似たシルバータビー(Silver Tabby)です。スーキーにゃんの弟（遊び相手）となるよう、子猫のとき施設からもらわれてきました。猫婆のマブダチでしたが、飼い主さんの都合で、ここから歩いて数分の新しいお家に引っ越してしまいました。夏になったら自動車を避けながら遊びに来てくれるかもと期待しています。
Suki
Suki the Ocicat, foster-sister (a bit of bully) of the new-comer of the family, Simba (can't blame her as she was totally spoilt by the owner until Simba was "rescued" as Suki's "companion" 猫婆の元隣猫スーキーにゃんです。蝶よ花よと溺愛され育てられた箱入りチョコレート・スポテッド・オシキャット(Ocicat、ボディ部分のみチョコレート色の豹柄、あとは焦げ茶色虎縞柄)娘。シンバにゃんが養子として迎え入れられて数年経っても、まだ100％受け入れられないワガママさん。猫婆を召使にしていましたが、もう会いに来てくれることはないでしょう。女の子はテリトリーが狭いですから。ちょっと寂しいです。
