A sales rep, an administration clerk and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.
販売担当者、事務員、マネージャーの3名が事務所からランチに出かけたとき、アンティークのオイルランプを発見しました。
They rub it and a Genie comes out.
ランプをこすると、魔人が現れました。
The Genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.'
魔人は、「ひとりずつ、願いをひとつだけ叶えよう」と言いました。
'Me first! Me first!' shouted the admin clerk. 'I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.'
「あたし！ あたしから！」事務員が叫びました。「あたし、バハマ諸島の海で、スピードボートを思いっきりかっ飛ばしたい！」
Puff! She's gone.
ポンっ！！！煙とともに彼女は消えていました。
'Me next! Me next!' shouted the sales rep. 'I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life....'
「つぎ僕！ 次ぼく！」と販売担当者が叫びました。「僕ハワイで、パーソナルマッサージ師と、お代わりし放題のピニャコラーダと、最愛の人とビーチでリラックスしたぁ〜いぃぃぃ・・・・」

The Infamous HOKURYO CLINIC case:
北稜クリニック事件とは
In January 2001, a 11-year old inpatient's condition was suddenly deteriorated and Mr Daisuke Mori (29) who was an assistant nurse of Hokuryo Clinic in Sendai, Japan at that time was arrested and indicted on suspicion of attempted murder of her. After that, he was further arrested and prosecuted repeatedly for a murder and three other attempted murder cases.
２００１年１月、仙台の「北稜クリニック」の準看護士だった守大助さん（２９）は、A子さん（１１）の急変に関し殺人未遂容疑で逮捕・起訴され、その後１人殺人、３人の殺人未遂容疑と、計５件で逮捕・起訴が繰り返されました。
At first, Mr Mori was reported to have confessed his crime, and that was said to have mixed a muscle relaxant in the intravenous drip for about 20 patients killing about 10 of them because he was too frustrated by work and was in the position that he could do that. The Japanese media was featuring this case as an unprecedented atrocious crime in Japan.
この事件は、当初、大助さんが犯行を認めたということで、準看護士の立場を利用し、仕事の不満を解消するために、約２０人の患者の点滴に筋弛緩剤を混入し、約１０人を殺害したとされ、前代未聞の凶悪犯罪として、当時のメディアを騒がせました。
However, Mr Mori has started to deny the charge since 3 days after his arrest and thereafter he has been consistently proclaiming his innocence in good faith.
しかし大助さんは逮捕から３日後に否認に転じ、その後は一貫して無実の主張を貫いています。
In his first trial (at Sendai District Court), the defence claimed his complete innocence and fought hard against prosecution but in March 2004 he was sentenced to life imprisonment with probation [in US American English, parole].
一審（仙台地裁）では全面無罪を主張する弁護側と検察側が対立し、激しい争いになりましたが、２００４年３月に無期懲役の判決がなされました。
In the second trial (at Sendai High Court), the witnesses, evidence, expert testimony request from the defence lawyers were all rejected and the defendant was not even allowed to question. The case was unjustfiably concluded after only 4 hearings then the discontinuance was announced in March 2006.
二審（仙台高裁）ではたった４回の公判で、弁護側の証人、証拠、鑑定請求が却下され、被告人質問も認められないまま結審し、２００６年３月に控訴棄却の判決となりました。
The defence appealed on the same day, but in February 2008 his appeal was dismissed and his sentence of life imprisonment was regrettably confirmed.
弁護側は即日上告しましたが、２００８年２月に上告棄却の知らせが届き、無期懲役の刑が確定してしまいました。
